Publikace Hlasy žen: Austrálie vychází z dokumentárního materiálu natočeného během výzkumného pobytu literární dokumentaristky Barbory Baronové na University of New South Wales v australském Sydney. Během pěti měsíců zde vedla přes dvacet dokumentárních rozhovorů s tamějšími významnými umělkyněmi, literátkami, filmařkami, aktivistkami, fotografkami, vědkyněmi a novinářkami, se kterými zkoumala témata vlastní ženám bez ohledu na odlišnost jejich kultur – ptala se na jejich postavení ve společnosti, očekávání na ně kladená nebo možnosti jejich profesního uplatnění. Natočený materiál tematizuje různé aspekty dokumentární profese, ale také obecnější společenská témata – například postavení žen v současném západním světě, ovlivněném druhou vlnou feminismu v 70. letech 20. století.

Mezi osobnostmi, které vyprávějí svůj příběh, je například významná feministka Anne Summers, která popisuje vlastní potrat jako jeden z iniciačních momentů svého aktivismu. Profesorka antropologie Diane Bell vypráví příběh boje za respekt k ženám ve vědě. Příběh Alison Whittaker je vyprávěním o cestě mladé Austrálské lesbické básnířky z regionálních rurálních komunit k právům na Harvardu. Nakladatelka Susan Hawthorne tematizuje svůj přerod ze zaměstnankyně globálního nakladatelství Penguin na nakladatelku nemainstreamových titulů. Příběh Olgy Horak a Haliny Robinson reflektuje téma holokaustu – zatímco Olga přežila pět koncentračních táborů, Halina se nechala přehodit přes zeď varšavského ghetta a byla osmnáct měsíců na útěku před nacisty. Všechny ženy portrétovala Dita Pepe.

The publication Voices of Women: Australia is based on documentary material recorded during a research stay of literary documentarian Barbora Baronová at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Over the course of five months, she conducted over twenty documentary interviews with prominent local artists, writers, filmmakers, activists, photographers, scientists and journalists, with whom she explored topics typical of women regardless of the differences in their cultures – she asked about their position in society, the expectations placed on them or their career opportunities. The filmed material thematizes various aspects of the documentary profession, but also more general social topics – for example, the position of women in the contemporary Western world, influenced by the second wave of feminism in the 1970s.

Among the personalities who tell their story is, for example, the prominent feminist Anne Summers, who describes her own abortion as one of the initiating moments of her activism. Anthropology professor Diane Bell tells the story of the struggle for respect for women in science. Alison Whittaker's story is the story of a young Australian lesbian poet's journey from regional rural communities to Harvard Law School. Publisher Susan Hawthorne thematizes her transformation from an employee of the global publishing house Penguin to a publisher of non-mainstream titles. The story of Olga Horak and Halina Robinson reflects the theme of the Holocaust – while Olga survived five concentration camps, Halina let herself be thrown over the wall of the Warsaw ghetto and was on the run from the Nazis for eighteen months. All the women were portrayed by Dita Pepe.
