Mařka je autorská kniha o přátelství hluchoněmé Mařky a malé holčičky, dnes uznávané malířky a ilustrátorky Adély Marie Jirků. Mařka celý život pásla ovce na Valašsku, díky Adéle však na stáří objevila voskovky a začala jimi kreslit art brut obrázky (nejen) hlavonožců. Adéla pak v dospělosti dostala potřebu zachytit Mařčin čistý svět, protože si uvědomila, že díky hluchoněmé tetě bylo její dětství výjimečné, protože přece ne každý má svoji Mařku.
Kniha Mařka je umělecko-literárním dokumentem psaným ve valašském nářečí hravým dětským jazykem, pohledem malé Adély Marie.
Vzniklé ilustrace autorky tvořené šestnáct let v knize doprovázejí i art brut obrázky samotné Mařky.

Mařka is an artist's book about the friendship of deaf-mute Mařka and a little girl, today a renowned painter and illustrator Adéla Marie Jirků. Mařka has been herding sheep in Wallachia all her life, but thanks to Adéla, she discovered wax crayons in her old age and began to draw art brut pictures of (not only) cephalopods with them. As an adult, Adéla felt the need to capture Mařka's pure world, because she realized that thanks to her deaf-mute aunt, her childhood was exceptional, because not everyone has their own Mařka.
The book Mařka is an artistic and literary document written in the Wallachian dialect in a playful children's language, from the perspective of little Adéla Marie.
The author's illustrations, created over sixteen years in the book, are accompanied by art brut pictures of Mařka herself.
